One of the souvenirs we brought back from our trip to Mexico was the stomach flu. The inaugural bout of vomiting occurred on our way home from the airport on the side of Hwy 101 just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. After 8 hours of constant retching, diarrhea, leg and foot cramps and other nastiness, I finally settled into a hazy state of nausea.
Seriously bad stuff. It was a virus I wouldn't wish on anyone. Especially my husband and kids. Which is exactly the order this "wildfire" called misery spread.
My almost 20 year-old daughter was the last (so far) to get it and, as you can see, my attempts at keeping her spirits up were handily thwarted. Poor kid. Luckily, she's on the other side of it now and we've all had a good laugh comparing our "war stories."

Stay healthy People! There's clearly no bright side to this stomach flu!
